A Snapshot

As the Program Manager – Net Zero and Circularity, based in our HQ in Singapore or Sydney, you will report to the Vice-President of Innovation and Intelligence and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:

  • Technology Innovation: defining and implementing novel technologies around AirTrunk’s data centres that help to make net positive contributions to local communities. Examples of such technologies include renewable energy generation and storage, recycled water treatment and reuse, indoor agriculture and aquaculture, electric vehicle charging and battery swapping, waste management and resource recovery, and more.
  • Leadership: becoming AirTrunk’s subject matter expert on circularity initiatives and managing the implementation of projects through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for setting the vision, strategy, roadmap and budget for InfraScale initiatives, as well as overseeing their implementation.
  • Partnership building: identifying, selecting and collaborating with the best partners in the renewable energy, energy storage, recycled water, indoor-agriculture, EV-charging and many other industries. You will establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, contractors, regulators, NGOs, academia and media, and foster a culture of co-innovation and co-creation.

Your Day to Day

  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential InfraScale opportunities and partners in the communities around current and future AirTrunk data centre campuses.
  • Developing business cases and feasibility studies for InfraScale projects, including technical, financial, environmental and social aspects.
  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of InfraScale projects, from concept design to operation and maintenance, ensuring alignment with AirTrunk’s standards and objectives and working closely with various AirTrunk teams and external partners.
  • Managing the coordination and communication with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, vendors, consultants, contractors, regulators and media.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance and impact of InfraScale solutions, including energy, water, carbon, waste and social metrics.
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation in InfraScale, by applying best practices, lessons learned and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Representing AirTrunk at industry events and forums and promoting InfraScale as a thought leader and a differentiator in the hyperscale data centre market.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, science, business or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in product development, project management, engineering or consulting, preferably in the renewable energy, energy storage, recycled water, indoor-agriculture, EV-charging or other related industries.
  • A proven track record of leading complex and innovative projects on time, on budget and on quality, with a high level of customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • A strong understanding of the circular economy principles and practices, and their application to the data centre industry.
  • A passion for sustainability, decarbonisation and social responsibility, and a drive to make a positive difference in the world.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • A high degree of autonomy, initiative and ownership, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the Asia Pacific region and occasionally globally.
