About This Role

                                                                                                         

A brand new role, focusing on a brand new program of work. As a Project Accountant, you will act as the glue between Projects and Finance, partnering closely the Program and Project Managers on all financial needs of the program of work.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, this role will be located at our Head Office in Homebush, NSW.     

The role we are offering you

  • Assist the program during the acquisition phase for all financial analysis
  • Control the monthly forecasting cycle for project P&L and balance sheets, working closely with project managers during the PRC Cycle
  • Support all audit requirements, both internal and external
  • Support all negotiations with contractors
  • Assist the team in areas such as monthly/quarterly reporting as well as participate in annual budget and forecasting processes

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Extensive experience in finance, namely financial reporting and analysing financial performance
  • Strong experience working within projects
  • Ideally hold a recognised accounting certification
  • Experience working with Hyperion Enterprise and Oracle systems a plus, as well as using tools such as Power BI

Security requirements

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
