Job Description
ACCIONA Agua is a global leader in sustainable water solutions, delivering innovative and efficient water treatment, desalination, and wastewater management projects. With a strong presence in Australia, we are committed to shaping a better future through responsible water infrastructure development.
We are inviting expressions of interest from early to mid-career Project Control Engineers with experience in large-scale water infrastructure projects.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the planning, cost control, and performance tracking of complex water treatment and desalination initiatives.
You will work closely with senior engineers and project teams to support the successful delivery of high-impact projects, while gaining exposure to industry-leading practices in sustainability, digital engineering, and infrastructure development.
Tender & Bid Support
- Assist in evaluating project opportunities and preparing cost estimates.
- Support risk assessments and commercial analysis for water sector tenders.
- Contribute to documentation and coordination during pre-contract phases.
Project Planning & Controls
- Help develop and maintain project schedules, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor progress and assist in identifying potential delays or variances.
- Support the preparation of reports and dashboards for internal and client review.
Construction & Delivery Support
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure alignment with project plans.
- Track quantities and assist in budget assessments throughout the delivery phase.
- Contribute to performance monitoring and reporting systems.
Digital Engineering & Innovation
- Support the use of digital tools and platforms for project documentation and analysis.
- Assist in implementing best practices in digital engineering across project teams
Required Skills and Competencies
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
2–4 years of experience in project controls or engineering support roles.
Exposure to water infrastructure projects (desalination, wastewater, or treatment plants) is essential.
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Excel).
Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a high-performing team.
Interest in sustainability and digital innovation in infrastructure delivery.
