KBR is involved in a range of exciting projects across market sectors including Energy, Resources, Water, Civil, and Rail infrastructure and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented and dedicated Project Controls Specialist to join our team in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing and applying cost and schedule control techniques and analysis to Engineering Services projects.

  • Providing input to bid proposals, prepare estimates as required and allocate budget to committed funds.

  • Recommending improvements to processes through utilisation of experience and problem-solving skills.

  • Establish and leverage cross-discipline relationships within the business group to facilitate cost control.

  • Provide and apply cost control techniques and analysis to Engineering Services projects.

  • Implement and execute project controls techniques to proactively support, monitor, and communicate budget, actual status, and forecast costs, labor hours, and quantities for projects.

  • Manage project budget. Work with project management and other members of the project team to maintain budget.

Who Are You?

The ideal candidate for this role is a skilled and passionate professional wanting to progress in your career with a growing global consulting business. 

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Accounting, Business Admin or related construction discipline or considerable experience.

  • Detailed knowledge of industry best practices in project controls, including estimating, cost control and planning/scheduling, for Engineering services type projects.

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Relevant, proven and demonstratable industry experience required.
