The Project Manager will oversee project lifecycles, ensuring communication and timely delivery of Instructure products, while managing teams and stakeholder relationships.

At Instructure, Project Managers deliver pivotal services to ensure the smooth implementation of Instructure products and services. They are responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, maintaining clear communication lines between customers and project members, and ensuring Instructure products and services are delivered in a timely, efficient and structured manner supportive of the customer’s project goals.
About the Role
- Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, objectives, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client goals and organisational priorities
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
- Ensure milestone and project task forecasting is kept up-to-date, and timecards are recorded accurately
- Manage time effectively with customer scheduling, and spending appropriate time in preparation and follow-up
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including timelines, progress reports, and risk management plans
- Team & Resource Management
- Manage and track team workloads, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently
- Identify areas where additional support, training, or consulting are needed and refer to Sales, Services, and/or CSM teams effectively
- Stakeholder Communication & Client Relations
- Assume the role of a customer’s trusted advisor regarding the implementation process and its best practices
- Lead project meetings, engaging with key project stakeholders and facilitating effective communication between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring project milestones are met
- Provide regular status updates to clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication
- Issue Resolution & Risk Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related issues
- Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies
- Troubleshoot and resolve project issues, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines and deliverables
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field (e.g., communication, education, information technology)
- 3+ years of experience with project management in an enterprise software environment (preferably SaaS)
- Project management qualification (e.g., Agile PM, CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2)
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading projects across multiple products (often concurrently)
- Impeccable attention to detail with excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills, both with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working with remote/distributed teams; travel and out of hours work may be required
- Proven ability to work effectively, independently, and in a team-based environment
- ITIL certification
- Knowledge of the education technology industry
- Project management experience in Australia or New Zealand
