We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join us.

Ideal candidates will have experience in delivering ecommerce migration and replatforming projects to an incredibly high standard, and the proven ability to lead others to the same successes.

About Swanky

We are a friendly team working to push our clients to the next level - learning new things, open to change and experimentation but always making sure commercial priorities and potential complexity are scoped as part of every decision.

We design, build and grow Shopify Plus stores that convert. From a team of 4 in 2016, to 60+ staff in 3 locations worldwide (Australia, France and the UK), we’re looking to bring additional experts into our team and see this role as a key part of our continued growth journey. We’ve been recognised as Shopify Plus Experts since the inception of the Plus program in 2016, and our clients work across a range of verticals, largely selling consumable products.

About the Role

Project Managers play a key role at Swanky,  communicating constantly with client teams and helping to coordinate and manage our expert teams. You will be joining the Australian team, working on large eCommerce projects with a particular focus on migrations to Shopify Plus.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to create and implement best practice working arrangements and processes within the team, and ensuring that these are implemented by your colleagues.
  • Overseeing multiple projects using Agile methodologies and principles.
  • Creating and maintaining project plans, timelines and budgets, and ensuring they are adhered to throughout each project.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks, and taking proactive measures to ensure project success through successful internal and client collaboration.
  • Building strong relationships with our clients to deliver commercially successful projects that meet client requirements.
  • Working closely with our large team of designers, developers, product managers, QAs and data experts to seamlessly coordinate appropriate expertise throughout the life of a project, coaching and guiding others through each project.

  • Methodical and organised approach, with the ability to closely follow established procedures and understanding when to follow the playbook and when innovation is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of thinking with clarity and logic under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and great organisation.
  • Experience in working with departmental heads, managers, and other stakeholders to develop strong teams and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain project definition of scope, deliverables, schedule and task prioritisation, managing client expectations and agreeing appropriate adjustments where necessary.
  • Strong critical thinking skills that empower the team to achieve success no matter the situation.
  • Experience managing technical and creative teams.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills and the ability to balance the competing priorities of multiple simultaneous projects.

Desired Skills

  • Prince2 and/or Agile Project Methodology.
  • Experience handling large Shopify Plus migration/replatforming projects leading large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience with other ecommerce tools.
  • Understanding of development processes (mainly front end).
