We are looking for a Project Manager - Value Creation, Supplier Engineering to drive innovative solutions, optimize costs, and enhance supplier collaboration in our dynamic procurement environment.

Let's Talk About the Role

As a key member of the Supplier Engineering team, you will lead value creation initiatives by working closely with Product Marketing, Product Development, and suppliers. This role focuses on implementing Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining or improving product quality. You will play a critical role in enhancing procurement practices, fostering supplier relationships, and influencing operational strategies that align with business objectives.

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage value creation projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

  • Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders across teams in Sydney and Singapore, suppliers, and external partners to drive innovative solutions.

  • Technical Expertise: Utilize product design, development lifecycle knowledge, and value creation techniques to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to influence and align project objectives.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project records, providing updates and insights to key stakeholders.

  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine value management procedures to drive continuous improvement across the supplier network.

  • Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.

  • Best Practices: Serve as a subject matter expert, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards within the supplier engineering domain.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field is preferred.

  • Proven experience in project management within a product lifecycle environment.

  • Strong knowledge of product design and development lifecycle stages.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative mindset.

  • Commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics and their impact on business outcomes.

  • Ability to challenge traditional processes and propose practical improvements.

  • Experience with Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) is highly desirable.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and geographies.
