Job Description

Project Management

  • Accountable for the planning and leading the execution of project/s, delivery of formal project/s milestones and the overall delivery plan, by leading multi-functional teams.
  • Support the programme/portfolio team to be able to articulate and determine value drivers, outline the vision statement and the business case.
  • Collaborate with the program/portfolio management team to ensure alignment of the project/s with the overall organizational strategy.
  • Agree governance bodies to manage risks and make decisions. Responsible for defining a Sponsorship Group and preparation for and delivery of the monthly Steering Committee meetings. Responsible for the sharing of pre-read materials, and for sharing actions and decisions afterwards, which are also to be stored in a centralised location. Responsible for the management of closure of Steerco actions.
  • Support architectural assessment.
  • Support the tracking and managing of the dependencies on other projects and BAU work in the programme/portfolio that need to complete to meet the agreed targets, and/or the Targets.
  • Agree delivery methodology (Agile, Waterfall, combination of both, etc).
  • Accountable for the management of the execution of the change management strategy, including the definition and roll-out of training courses, the execution of the regular employee communications cadence and set-up and management of the change agent network.
  • Responsible for managing Project/s progress, updates to Project/s plan & stakeholders’ engagement. Issue regular communications to the whole Project/s team (i.e. from the Sponsor down to the most junior person on the Project) summarizing progress and clarifying priorities of the Project/s.
  • Participate in regular program/portfolio management meetings and provide updates on the progress of the project/s.
  • Manage and report project/s budget and support the management of the full budget.
  • Coordinate with other Project managers and Senior Project Managers to identify dependencies and manage interdependencies between Projects within the programme/portfolio.
  • Support the overall planning, preparation for change and transition of the solution to Operations. Responsible for closing activities related to portfolio management, financials management and resource management such as, ensuring Capex/Opex are accurate, releasing resources from the Project/s and formally closing the Project/s from the portfolio.
  • Manage hand-over of responsibility for the solution/business process to business-as-usual support.
  • Ensure that Service Design is approved and handed over into BAU team.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Objective and Vision have been achieved.
  • Lead Lessons learned session during the project to hand over to Production Support teams.
  • Serve as primary point of contact between the project team and senior business stakeholder or wider programme teams, ensuring timelines and effective communication of project status and challenges​.
  • Proven success in improving the customer experience, including stakeholders involved in the project/s. Proven record of promoting building positive and strong relationships.

PMO Governance

  • Support and follow PMO governance across different projects, implement standardised tools, methodologies, processes, and ways of working to align to best practices, maintain compliance, provide actionable reporting, and ensure clear decision making​ process.
  • Ensure compliance with organisation policies and best practice standards throughout project lifecycles​; ensure quality control processes are followed correctly.

Third Party Management

  • Engage and work with partners, vendors, employees, and agencies to ensure success of project/s.
  • Manage multi-functional team coordination, opportunity screening, benefit/cost analysis, vendor selection, schedule and budget oversight, management of consultants/contractors, issue resolution, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal and external legal, contracting, procurement, finance, group marketing and communications teams to ensure risk control, successful project rollout and streamline communications.

Community of Practice

  • Contribute wider awareness and understanding of effective project management across the wider team enhancing the organisations project management capabilities​.
  • Lead project evaluations to maximise lessons learned and contribute to the growth of the organisation’s project management maturity over time​.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned with the broader program/portfolio management and Project Management Community of Practice teams to improve overall delivery.
