The role:

Under general supervision, this project manager is responsible for all phases of planning and execution of various project acquisition and sustainment activities. They will be required to plans, organise, coordinate and control the project in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. Reporting to the IWP Lead, they will also be responsible for day-to-day contact and communication with the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Apply Project Management expertise in a Defence project supporting a major Defence capability
  • Undertake Project Management Strategy and Analysis to establish future documentation and plans to support the capability
  • Establish and maintain effective integration between the Defence capability project outcomes and other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and engineering processes
  • Liaise with Defence Prime contractors and their Subcontractors to effectively manage project outcomes
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships with Defence headquarter elements and other dependent Defence projects
  • • Participate in KBR proposal writing as required
  • Comply with a safe working environment and foster a positive HSE culture among all team members.
  • Other duties as directed.

Skills and Experience:

  • Related tertiary (Business, Law, Engineering etc.) or project management qualifications (or commensurate professional experience) 
  •  Experience in a Defence or related technical industry 
  • Strong working knowledge of ASDEFCON.
  • Experience in drafting contractual documentation
  • Demonstrated experience in tender evaluation.
  • NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
