As a Project Manager, this role is responsible for the successful delivery of Project outcomes across the Victorian sites in the infrastructure portfolio. This requires preparing, planning, executing and controlling all aspects of the project either directly or through delegation with the project team. Successful delivery requires monitoring and controlling financials, works schedule, resources (including subcontractors) as well as managing the project stakeholders (internal and external).
The role will suit a highly motivated person who enjoys working to the highest standards, in a fast-paced technical environment with a lot of variety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the delivery of complex projects to the required quality, schedule and budget
- Ensures project delivery is on time, within scope with zero or positive deviation
- Develop trust and maintain customer satisfaction at target levels
- Identify and pursue in conjunction with the account manager any further business opportunities with the customer
- Controls cost and maximize productivity within the project team
- Ensure the design solution is fit for purpose in meeting the project requirements and minimize cost of labor defects and rework
- Responsible for maintaining the project Safety Plan and EH&S responsibilities within the team
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Tertiary or post trade qualifications in business, Project management or a related discipline or demonstrate equivalent level of experience (preferred)
- At least 3-5 years’ relevant work experience in construction or engineering preferred
- Further education in management or project management would also be advantageous
- Proven experience in project management including budget ownership/management, resource allocation, scheduling, forecasting and planning
- Capacity and ability to deliver against multiple objectives and multiple projects
- Strong customer relation skills with total commitment to customer satisfaction
- Excellent computer, written and oral communication and negotiation skills
- Able to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment
- Experienced working in a high pressure fast paced environment
