The Role: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Quality Lead to join our Development and Delivery - Contracts and Controls team. Reporting to the Project Governance and Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in embedding quality processes across our projects.

This role involves ensuring that quality control management processes are established and managed maintained throughout the project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, maintain, and continuously improve the quality management system for projects in the Development & Delivery (D&D) stages.
  • Manage and lead a team, providing motivation, encouragement, and opportunities for development.
  • Embed quality standards and planning from concept through commissioning across all projects.
  • Review contractor’s quality documentation for compliance with project requirements.
  • Assess and report on contractors’ quality performance.
  • Facilitate and partake in technical assurance, design reviews, and quality control checks for OEM equipment and infrastructure.
  • Conduct lessons learned learnt reviews and project audits to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure QA/QC processes are implemented and effective.
  • Support the development and maintenance of quality management reporting.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality expectations.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in quality management within renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC processes across the project lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to conduct quality audits and quality planning.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy and infrastructure project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in managing and reporting on project quality and portfolio health metrics.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High-level interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint); Power BI skills desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Quality Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • ISO 9001 Quality Management / Auditor certification.
  • White Card.
  • Current driver’s licence.
