About the role (your why)

The Proposal Manager role is responsible for leading the development and submission of compelling business proposals that secure new customers and projects. The Proposal Manager will wear many hats, acting as a strategist, project manager, and lead writer, all while collaborating closely with various internal teams.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of marketing and customer insights.
  • Experience with proposal automation tools, stakeholder relationship management and wider people leadership capability.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful market propositions throughout its lifecycle.
  • Ability to manage issues where analysis of situations or data requires an indepth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Proven track record of developing and submitting winning proposals.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or business development in a relevant industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and launching successful Customer led propositions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire proposal lifecycle, from initial inquiry to final submission for proposals that are contained within Managed Operations, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate proposal responses on behalf of Managed Operations to contribute to market led proposals.
  • Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other bid documents to understand customer needs and craft persuasive proposals that align with our company's offerings and competitive edge.
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional proposal teams, delegating tasks effectively and fostering collaboration between multiple IP service lines, Pre-Sales, Sales, Customer leads and Technical Experts.
  • Draft compelling proposal narratives, manage content contributions from internal teams, and ensure all sections adhere to a high standard of quality and compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the proposal development process, implementing best practices, and exploring new tools and technologies to streamline efficiency.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the proposal process, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience.
