As our QA Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of the Quality Assurance System with the object of retaining our ISO 22000 certification, as well as compliance with gategroup global and customer food safety and quality standards and continuous improvement in site QA compliance.

What you will focus on:

  • Co-ordinates with other management team functions to develop and improve food safety and quality systems.
  • Coordinates daily QA tasks to assure objectives are met.
  • Conducts and reports on outcomes of internal audits to the management team.
  • Liaises with governmental agencies regarding food safety related compliance topics.
  • Maintains Food safety system documentation.
  • Liaises with staff to ensure that safety is maintained, reports at findings to management.
  • Conducts supplier audits when required.
  • Discusses food safety and quality requirements with customers.
  • Reviews and authorises site corrective actions for control of non-conformances.
  • Coordinates site customer audits.
  • Summarises and reports food safety and quality issues to the compliance and Unit Managers.
  • Liaises with Account Managers or other personnel in customer complaints investigation to ensure swift corrective action and rectifying any deviation in standards or performance.
  • Records, analyses and reports to customer on product quality and service.
  • Assures efficient food safety training of all staff.

About you:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Food Science/Technology (or related field).
  • From approximately 3 years’ QA experience.
  • Experience with food safety and quality assurance is mandatory. 
  • Project management experience would be highly regarded.
  • HACCP certification would be highly regarded.
  • Internal auditor training would be highly regarded.
  • Effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
