Purpose of Role

As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our AI decision platform. You will be undertaking the quality assurance activities in our product development lifecycle. Additionally, you will be an advocate for quality within an agile squad, guiding them to build the right product and to build the product right through clear, consistent acceptance criteria, ensuring adequate test coverage and keeping the squad and stakeholders informed of the product’s quality.

Key accountabilities

• Assuming technical responsibility for all stages of the software QA lifecycle.
• Be responsible for quality assurance work to improve the quality.
• Participating in defining and executing the testing strategy and test plans for in the product lifecycle.
• Creation and management of test cases with traceability back to requirements.
• Executing test cases.
• Clarifying acceptance criteria through examples to verify and accept stories.
• Preparing and participating in the various agile ceremonies.

Key challenges

• Being Involved in collaboration work within and out of the squad, with multiple roles closely including Product Owner(s), Software Engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Constantly evaluate, learn and apply new technologies and new development techniques.

Capabilities

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

• Strong capability in problem solving. 
• Mastering necessary testing tools such as Postman, Newman, Jira (with Zephyr Scale plugin), Jmeter etc.
• Familiar with normal DB operations (SQL).

Desirable

• Participating in writing test strategy.
• Coding or product related experience.
• Automation test experience.
• Mentoring junior QA engineers
