OFX is undergoing a major website transformation to better serve our B2B clients, and quality assurance is a critical part of this journey. We’re looking for a skilled QA Specialist to rigorously test our website’s functionality, performance, and security across multiple devices and browsers. You will play a key role in ensuring a seamless, reliable, and optimised website experience by executing comprehensive manual and automated testing strategies.
This role is perfect for someone who can balance hands-on testing with automation expertise, leveraging tools like Playwright and cloud-based testing platforms to streamline processes. You must have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with CI/CD workflows to help deliver a best-in-class website experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end QA testing for all tickets related to the website during the QA phase.
- Test website functionality based on instructions provided by developers to ensure all features work as expected.
- Conduct both manual and automated testing to identify bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
- Develop and execute test scripts for automated testing, ensuring efficient and thorough test coverage.
- Utilise test automation tools to streamline and improve testing processes.
- Write and maintain automated test cases using Playwright.
- Work with GitHub to manage testing workflows, including running CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.
- Document test results, report issues, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Continuously optimise testing strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Must-have skills Requirements:
- Proven experience as a QA Specialist, QA Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong background in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Experience testing web applications across different browsers and devices, both manually and using cloud-based testing platforms such as LambdaTest.
- Proficiency in writing automated end-to-end test scenarios using Playwright.
- Coding experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Asana for ticket & bug management.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control and workflow management.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience running automated tests within GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience using WordPress CMS and its ecosystem.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools such as New Relic or Datadog.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- ISTQB or similar QA certification is a plus.
