The opportunity
We are seeking a proactive professional to join our Joint Systems business unit, which plays a vital role in supporting critical products and services across Air, Sea, and Land.
In this role, you won't just oversee systems; you will be a key partner in the mission. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and complex design, ensuring that as we push the boundaries of innovation, our Safety and Quality Management Systems evolve alongside them.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with program and functional teams to integrate management system principles into planning and execution.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to provide practical, delivery-focused advice on Quality and Safety matters.
  • Drive continual improvement by analysing trends and helping teams implement effective, sustainable controls.
  • Support the business unit's readiness for customer and regulatory engagements through robust assurance and system health checks.

Experience/Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting operational or program delivery environments within a regulated industry (such as Aerospace, Defence, or Manufacturing).
  • Strong working knowledge of management system frameworks (e.g., AS9100/ISO 9001) and the ability to apply them to real world operational challenges.
  • Proven ability to use root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance business performance.
  • Lead Auditor qualifications and/or experience in aviation, aerospace or defence environments will be highly regarded.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
