About the business/role/team

As a key member of our Internal Audit Team, reporting directly to the Head of Department, the Quality Assurance Manager – Audit plays a vital role in ensuring the long-term effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement of the Bank’s internal audit function.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Manager - Audit responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP), ensuring it remains aligned with the Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS), including the integration of upcoming Topical Requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain the QAIP framework in the highest level of effectiveness and compliance with IIA Standards.

  • Conduct periodic internal assessments and coordinate external quality reviews.

  • Identify gaps or areas for improvement in internal audit processes and create action plans to address deficiencies and drive continuous improvement.

  • Monitor audit performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to embed a culture of quality assurance throughout the Bank.

  • Provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of audit methodology and practices.

  • Collaborate with audit leadership to uplift audit methodology and drive innovation.

  • Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to enhance audit quality.

  • Prepare reports and insights for senior management and the audit committee.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of audit methodologies, industry trends, and changes to relevant standards and regulations.

  • Oversee, evaluate and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Work to resolve gaps identified through employee engagement surveys, IIA gap analysis, and external quality assessments by developing and implementing improvement plans.

About you

  • Quality Assurance Expertise: Strong knowledge of QAIPs and experience in designing, developing, and executing QAIP initiatives to drive internal audit effectiveness and compliance.

  • Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Proficient in identifying gaps and areas for improvement within internal audit processes and creating actionable plans for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality: Maintains a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and consistency in all aspects of audit review and QAIP execution.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop audit teams toward a shared vision of quality and continuous improvement.

  • You will hold a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent, are highly desirable.
