Job Summary

The QA Manager is responsible for leading the quality assurance function to ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and quality standards. This role champions IFF’s values and culture, promotes a strong safety mindset, and ensures that all products meet regulatory and customer expectations.

How you will contribute and lead:

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure good laboratory practices to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure staff follow written procedures and test methods in line with GMP, GLP, and HACCP standards.
  • Provide timely testing and ensure all raw materials and finished goods are properly controlled. Only QC approved stock is used or sold.
  • Ensure timely release of raw materials and finished products in SAP LP1.
  • Ensure relevant document is prepared/ generated for finished products which required for shipping, e.g. CoA/CoC, on timely basis.
  • Recommend solutions for rejected products or raw materials to support business goals.
  • Investigate non-conforming products and raw materials and lead corrective actions.
  • Handle quality complaints for products made at Toller sites and ensure effective resolutions.
  • Define and monitor departmental KPIs, communicate action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate sales sample requests
  • Ensure Tollers comply with HACCP, Product Safety Programs, ISO 9001, Regulatory, and Danisco standards.
  • Create and maintain relevant documents, e.g. Finished Product Specifications (FPS) with Tollers and IFF.
  • Support customer audits at Toller sites.

Staffing

  • Set clear performance standards and expectations to support team and business goals.
  • Continuously improve systems and processes for team development.
  • Manage QC staff, including performance evaluations.

Reporting, Administrative and Other Duties

  • Provide monthly reports on Right First-Time metrics and complaint trends.
  • Report departmental performance to top management.
  • Track and report KPIs as scheduled.
  • Organize and lead quality-related meetings as needed.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership in upholding IFF’s purpose and core values.
  • Promote awareness of Environment, Health, Safety, Quality, Food Safety, and Customer Focus across the site.
  • Actively participate in site activities and lead by example.
  • Champion IFF’s values and culture with all stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and authorities.

People Safety, Quality & Food Safety

Safety

  • Lead and promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all personnel are trained and follow safe practices.
  • Conduct and maintain regular plant/ tollers safety inspections and audits.

Quality Systems

  • Maintain and enhance Food Safety and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) programs.
  • Ensure the safety of Tollers and third parties by managing food safety risks through a certified Food Safety System.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent, preferably in Food Technology with previous experience in QA management (Min. 3 years envisaged) in a Food Manufacturing environment. OR
  • Education: Diploma or equivalent, preferably in Food Technology with significant previous experience in QA management (Min. 5 years envisaged).
  • Proficient in using at least one computerized business operating system.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Solid understanding of ISO standards, HACCP, or other relevant food safety systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including via telephone.
  • Strong ability to manage complex information and schedules.
  • Effective coordination of activities to meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced time management and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to identify and analyze potential manufacturing issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to organize and lead effective meetings.
