Perpetual Group is an ASX-listed company (ASX:PPT) headquartered in Sydney, Australia, currently consisting of 11 leading brands across three distinct businesses: Asset Management, Wealth Management and Corporate Trust.
This exciting role sits within the Perpetual Private (PP) Investments Team, and will have responsibility for the governance, reporting and analytics on the performance of Perpetual Privates investment portfolios. The role also involves providing quantitative and technical support for investment research, portfolio management, performance reporting, and advisor and client collateral.
About the Role
As a Quantitative Analyst you will:
Create, audit and maintain key financial models used within the Investment Research team to support Asset Allocation reviews, manager reviews and market analysis.
Create, automate and maintain quantitative performance packs to support investment management and portfolio performance reporting to various stakeholders.
Develop and produce bespoke client portfolio reporting for major clients of the Perpetual Private advice network.
Manage the various portfolio management activities of the investment portfolios (hedging foreign exposures, cash flow monitoring, processing of investment trade instructions and adjusting the asset allocations of multi asset investment portfolios in accordance with the investment guidelines).
Contribute to the production of board papers and governance requirements for Perpetual Private products and offers.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
A university degree in a subject related to investment, finance, technology, mathematics or similar. Progress towards a post-graduate qualification such as MAppFin, CIMA or CFA will be viewed favourably.
Demonstrated experience in analysing multi-asset class funds and investments.
Experience in the wealth management or investment industry in a relevant investment, analytic or performance related role.
Advanced MS Excel and financial modelling skills, and intermediate/advanced MS Word and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with data analysis and database methods is required, and experience with programming languages (such as SQL, R, MATLAB) would be beneficial.
Experience with financial data systems is desirable (eg. Factset, Bloomberg)
