About the role

This newly created role reporting to our Head of Claims and Recoveries will sit in our Haberfield Hub and will be responsible for assessing and investigating motor insurance claims to identify opportunities for recovery. This exciting role will suit someone who enjoys working in a scaling company and a growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging in effective negotiation with relevant third parties, including other insurance companies to recover claim costs.
  • Collaborating with the internal claims team to gather essential supporting evidence to assist in successful recoveries.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date file notes.
  • Evaluating the feasibility of legal action.
  • Providing regular updates to customers on recovery progress.

What you'll bring

  • 2+ years debt collection / recoveries experience.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Problem solver with a strong customer focus and proactive nature.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to stay focused when managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team in a target driven environment.
  • An understanding of credit hire would be advantageous but not required.
  • Comfortable with computers and learning new systems.
  • Willing to learn and able to adapt to change in this evolving role.
