This role sits within the MX Refurbish Business team, responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing strategic plans to support business growth and performance.
As the Refurbish Business Operations Manager, you will support the Senior Product Manager in driving the best Samsung device residual values for traded-in devices.
Role and Responsibilities
Refurbish Business Operations Management
Manage activities with trade-in partners for regular checks on collection of inventory
Coordinate retail display devices (RDUs) collection from channel partners and build a joint inventory list
Secure additional used device collection through channel partner trade-in programs
Establishment of refurbishment product codes policy to manage costs and logistics by grade, considering refurbishment characteristics
Manage Auction platform operations and the associated Resell partners to sell the trade-in inventory to highest bidder for devices out of scope for Refurb program
Coordinate with Finance to control the payment flows for Auction and reconciliation with S.com
Coordinate data collaboration with Indirect Refurb partners and ensure it is reflected in the RB systems.
Demand planning together with SCM team for Refurb stock
Creation of Sales Reports & Revenue Simulation for target planning & month end
Close communication with Order Desk & Logistics in order to execute the Refurb operation smoothly
Manage sell-through to Refurb sales partners like Reebelo, eBay, Amazon and coordinate the performance of sales (lead times, sell-in, sell through and daily reporting on sales)
Coordinate with Finance on quarterly basis to reconcile the P&L and plan investment of the profit into Samsung residual value improvement and secure virtuous cycle
Operationalise Refurbish Business
Review and analyse key performance indicators (KPI)
Develop short-term tactics
Manage the Collection / Refurbish / Sales indicators in association with S.COM / CX / Sales Director/ VP
Create a Dashboard to monitor the Refurbish KPIs
Recommend actions to bridge any foreseen gaps
Pricing Management (Residual Value / Trade In Value)
Data/price analysis for various sectors of the pricing mainly using market data and website crawling
Set and coordinate pricing activity with S.com team based on forward bidding process and align with ETO pricing guidance
Work towards improving residual value of 1-3 year old Samsung devices
Refurb Program Support
Support with preparation for weekly meetings / governance with cross-functional department stakeholders/management
Closely work with cross-functional departments (SCM, Logistics, BI, Finance, S.com, Service) to optimize the operations and manage E2E coordination of the operations
Skills and Qualifications
6+ years of experience in program management, supply chain , circular economy, refurbish, or in a similar industry (retail/consumer electronics/operator)
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Sales and Product/Category Teams
Experience working on complex projects and the ability to understand and assess complex problems
