Job overview:


The Regional Accountant will support financial operations across the APAC region, including Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. The Regional Accountant will support the month-end close process, manage end-to-end accounts payable, coordinate regional tax filings, and handle employee expense reimbursements.

We’re looking for someone who is not only a capable accounting professional but also eager to integrate into local teams to foster a strong connection between finance and other local business functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Month-End Close Process: Assist in managing the month-end close for APAC, ensuring all transactions were accurately recorded and processed on time. Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial schedules to support timely and accurate financial reporting. Support regional management reporting, including monthly review of margins and variance analysis. Support the global team as necessary to ensure month-end is completed promptly
  • End-to-End Accounts Payable: Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process across the APAC region, including being the first point of contact for media partner queriesManage multi-currency transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax regulations in each APAC region.
  • Regional Tax Filings & Compliance: Work with the Finance Director and external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax filings in all APAC markets. Keep updated on regional tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance across all regions
  • Employee Expense Reimbursements: Manage the employee expense reimbursement process and monthly accounting of the corporate credit card to ensure timely reimbursement, accurate record keeping and compliance with company policies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with the Finance Director, provide financial insights and support to non-finance teams, helping them understand the impact of financial decisions and processes.
  • Process Improvement & Systems Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, especially in month-end processes, accounts payable and employee reimbursements. Willingness to be involved in ad-hoc projects to improve efficiencies and reporting across the business
