Role
Regional Director in the Financial Institutions Group responsible for new sales to advisers at dealer groups and private banks across Australia.
Opportunity
The Regional Director will take ownership for business development with advisers at dealer groups and private banks to drive all sales related activities as well as lead and organize the efforts of our client services team members to effectively address the needs of advisers.
To be successful, the Regional Director must:
- have a solid foundational knowledge of investments, capital markets and asset allocation theory
- be able to develop a comprehensive understanding of Dimensional’s investment strategies and philosophy
- have a successful track record of sales to advisers through the development of a new book of business
- have a thorough understanding of the advice landscape.
Responsibilities
- New sales to advisers in large dealer groups and private banks.
- Working collaboratively with Regional Director’s in other channels to grow new adviser relationships.
- Educating advisers on markets and investments and acting as an intellectual contributor and trusted adviser to new clients.
- Consulting with licensees and adviser firms on building an efficient practice while providing a successful investment experience to clients.
- Presenting Dimensional’s capabilities to advisers at conferences, webcasts and industry functions.
- Formulating and executing tailored Dimensional initiatives and championing existing company initiatives.
- Being a team-player and sales and marketing thought leader within the Dimensional team.
- Being a spokesperson and champion of the Dimensional brand throughout the industry.
Qualifications
- 5 years of sales experience working with licensees, advisers and private banks.
- A track record of new business development with advisers.
- Extensive knowledge of and network within the adviser landscape in Australia.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with high energy and passion; a self-starter.
- A great team player who prioritizes positive culture, collaboration and team-based selling.
- Comfortable with regular interstate travel.
- Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic results required; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches and key Dimensional selling points.
- A strong sense of professional and personal integrity and high ethical standards.
- Must be RG146 accredited.
