We’re looking for experienced Resource Industries Support Advisor to join our team in Rockhampton. This is a Permanent/, Monday to Friday role.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Resource Industries Support Advisor at Hastings Deering, you will:
 

  • Foster collaborative and trust-based customer relationships with a focus on optimising equipment performance and identifying key business opportunities.
  • Leverage hands-on learning and exposure to the Mining Support Representative role, effectively communicating and resolving customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Assist in managing parts supply issues, emphasising quality and continuity.
  • Identify potential markets for Dealer Rebuilds and Caterpillar Certified Rebuilds
  • Utilise company forecasting systems to maximize undercarriage wear, component replacement, and equipment utilisation strategies, providing comprehensive forecast reports for informed business planning.
  • Maintain the Saleslink database to ensure synchronisation with the main database, facilitating more accurate parts, service, and equipment forecasting.
  • Oversee technical data letters, programs, and bulletins, proactively reporting technical issues, and maintaining open communication with customers regarding product updates and specific application issues.
  • Strive to achieve targeted business performance goals within your area of responsibility.

What you’ll need:

A successful teammate will have experience in:  
 

Essential:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commercial understanding, including knowledge of business operations and financial concepts.
  • Strong background or experience, with knowledge of heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Exposure to Caterpillar equipment and machinery.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems
  • Capability to identify potential markets for equipment rebuilds.
  • Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge in software tools, such as Microsoft Excel or SAP

Desirable:

  • Experience in database management, particularly with Saleslink or similar software
  • Familiarity with parts supply management, emphasising quality control.
  • Technical certifications or qualifications related to heavy equipment.
