About the Role

Whether you’re kicking off your career or looking to take the next big step, we offer opportunities for our team to start something BIG (along with some seriously good perks). We are on the hunt for a Reuse Salvage & Quality Advisor to join our team in Rockhampton.

The key responsibilities of this dynamic role will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide a high quality, cost effective service that exceeds customer expectations and returns nil customer complaints.

  • Provide a high level of professional and technical communication in relation to quality within CRC operations.

  • Regularly liaise with the Failure Analysis report writers to understand common failure issues or trends.

  • Provide quarterly reports to the CRC Manager on Parts Write Offs for HD Reman rebuilds, highlighting trends, improvement areas, and reuse rates from scrap bin analysis.

  • Ensure CRC compliance with Caterpillar’s Reuse and Salvage Assurance program, including quality control documentation and fitter training.

  • Deliver Reuse & Salvage training, mentoring, and expert guidance when needed.

  • Conduct weekly audits of CRC leading hand metric boards, focusing on RCCA quality, and follow up with leading hands or supervisors.

  • Perform regular and random quality audits during repair stages, identifying improvements and working with supervisors as needed.

About You

A successful teammate will have the following:

  • Minimum 5 within the Component Rebuild Centre (CRC)

  • Sound technical/mechanical knowledge

  • Knowledge of basic computer systems and programs

  • Knowledge of Caterpillar parts and products
