We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented IFRS Supervisor (IFRS 15) to oversee revenue accounting operations and ensure compliance with IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards. This role will be responsible for supervising revenue accounting activities, reviewing complex contract assessments, ensuring the accuracy of financial records in SAP RAR, supporting audits, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive compliance and process excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee IFRS 15 revenue accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

  • Review and validate approved running sheets, legal contracts, and business designs within SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) to ensure compliance with IFRS 15 requirements.

  • Evaluate and interpret complex customer contracts, including performance obligations, payment terms, pricing arrangements, contract modifications, and other key revenue recognition considerations.

  • Review the determination and allocation of transaction prices across multiple performance obligations and ensure appropriate revenue recognition treatment.

  • Oversee the preparation and review of revenue recognition journal entries, including point-in-time and over-time revenue recognition assessments.

  • Supervise the reconciliation of deferred revenue, accrued revenue, contract assets, and contract liabilities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Review and approve IFRS 15 adjustments, including legacy contract transactions managed outside SAP RAR, and ensure proper accounting treatment during period-end close activities.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring revenue-related transactions are recorded accurately and within established timelines.

  • Monitor and review standard revenue accounting reports, identify discrepancies, and drive corrective actions where necessary.

  • Partner with Business, Commercial, Legal, Finance, Controlling, and Shared Services teams to resolve complex revenue recognition issues and provide IFRS 15 guidance.

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to audit requests, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced controls within revenue accounting processes.

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and technical support to team members while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, IFRS 15, or financial reporting, with prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and practical experience assessing complex revenue contracts and accounting treatments.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (SAP RAR) and ERP systems.

  • Experience working in a Global Business Services (GBS), Shared Services, multinational, or complex corporate environment is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of financial close processes, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting requirements.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and contractual information.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience leading IFRS 15 implementation, transition, or process optimization initiatives.

  • Knowledge of SOX/internal controls and audit requirements.

  • Experience supporting system enhancements, automation projects, or revenue accounting transformation initiatives.
