Job Description

About the role:

Our Bulk Collection Depot located in Brookvale is one ‘jewel in the crown’ in our range of collection solutions for New South Wales.

Our depots are thriving, busy and are well loved by the communities they serve and those that work there. Our staff take great pride in ensuring our depots are accessible, clean, and that they are providing friendly customer service to whoever comes through our doors.

As our Depot Team Lead, you will lead a team of Depot Attendants to deliver day-to-day operations and an exceptional TOMRA customer experience whilst providing hands-on support with a focus on uptime, building volume and communication.

This role requires the successful candidate to work 5 days per week including weekends. 

Background checks include a federal police check and pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Educate customers on key depot information, container eligibility and the Return and Earn app
  • Resolve customer complaints, mediate employee relation matters and escalate to the RVBD Manager
  • Oversee depot operations to maximise operational up time and processing volumes
  • Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance on reverse vending machines (RVM’s) and sorting equipment is completed in accordance with depot maintenance schedules maximising TOMRA’s equipment up time
  • Manage and assist with troubleshooting RVM faults and sorting equipment issues with the assistance of the TOMRA Technical Team
  • Assist with volume building activities
  • Mentor, train, and support Depot Attendants, ensuring all staff are properly inducted and trained for their roles.
  • Organise workflow and monitor productivity and behavior providing fair and constructive feedback to Depot Operators where required
  • Prevent and minimise material loss and report fraudulent behavior directly to the Manager
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels
  • Manage the time and attendance of all staff
  • Ensure and encourage 100% compliance with all WHSE requirements including TOMRA SAFE Standards and Guidelines

Qualifications

  • Availability to work 5 days per week including weekends
  • Good experience in a similar role
  • Excellent computer and systems skills
  • Ability to motivate and support employees through ongoing professional development
  • Customer focused and experienced with handling customer complaints
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Prepared to undergo mandatory Police Check and attend a pre-employment medical assessment to assess capability to perform the role requirements safely
