The opportunity
As part of Line 1 Risk Team for AUSPAC Finance, supporting Line 1 Risk operations to ensure Finance risk management is in line with Group Risk Management Strategy, ensuring risk deliverables are met and delivered with quality in a timely manner.
Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Risk Analyst looking to take the next step in their career. Reporting into the Manager of Finance Risk, you will support the 1st Line of Defence Risk Operations to ensure that risk management in Finance is in line with Group Risk Management Strategy and risk deliverables are met and delivered with quality in a timely manner. You will foster best practice for risk, compliance and governance culture through implementation of effective risk management and uplift of risk awareness and maturity across all teams in AUSPAC Finance.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic insight and advisory to support ongoing application of operational risk management activities, including but not limited to risk profiles, issue management and incident management
- Contribute to the preparation and implementation of the Finance Risk & Compliance Team plans to ensure these risk deliverables are achievable and measurable
- Determine own work priorities and activities within context of agreed plans to ensure the achievement of the Finance Risk & Compliance team
- Support the development and improvement of risk procedures and processes to ensure they continue to support the business in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support in Finance risk and compliance trainings
- Manage and analyse risk related data and produce standard and ad-hoc reports to ensure all stakeholders receive relevant and timely information
- Identify risks and assumptions associated with current or proposed solutions and ensure appropriate visibility and escalation where required.
About you
You will have demonstrated experience in the Financial Services industry in a Risk/Compliance Analyst role and are familiar with Risk and Compliance processes and have knowledge of FSA/local regulators’ requirements for insurers and insurance intermediation. In addition to this, you can analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate solutions, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
You will have:
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and processes, financial regulations (e.g., Basel III, IFRS, SOX), and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools, data analysis, and statistical methods for risk insight evaluation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex risk concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
