Job Description
Join our People and Culture team as a Risk and Compliance Manager. You'll advise the business unit, promote a risk-aware culture, and support stakeholders in line with our risk frameworks.
Reporting to the Head of People and Culture Risk and Compliance, you'll be part of a team focused on protecting TAL’s people, assets, and reputation.
This permanent role is based in our Sydney office with flexible working options.
In this role you will:
- Provide risk management support and advice to the People & Culture Business Unit, with a specific focus on driving a positive risk culture and empowering stakeholder accountability.
- Oversee the incident management process including timely investigation, remediation, action management and reporting.
- Develop and embed People & Culture Obligations matrix.
- Develop and deliver reports for the People & Culture Risk Committee, the Executive Team and RemCo.
- Lead the Risk Control Self-Assessment annual review process, including running stakeholder workshops, preparing reporting and presenting findings to the Risk Committee.
- Develop and implement a People & Culture control testing plan aligned to the organisational framework, including conducting control testing and reporting on outcomes.
- Monitor and advise around the Risk in Change activities across the People & Culture Business Unit by ensuring the Risk in Change Procedure is adhered to.
- Lead the delivery of required CPS230 programs as well as other potential risk & compliance uplifts that may be required.
- Partner with the Risk Office to ensure all risk management requirements are met, and that suitable strategies and plans are put in place to manage and report operational, and people risks.
- Support Line 2 and Line 3 with any reviews/audits.
Qualifications
- Sound understanding of and ability to operate within Risk and Compliance frameworks, including the ability to consider risk strategically
- Ability to analyse data and collate reports in relation to risk profiles, regulatory requirements, uplift plans, incidents and audits
- Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and collaboration skills
- Proven track record in writing effective reports and presentations
- Ability to manage and deliver through ambiguity and changing business requirements
- Significant experience managing and building effective relationships at all levels
- Strong communication and presentation skills
