About the team:

The Risk and Compliance Partner is a senior 1st Line risk role responsible for supporting the Senior Risk and Compliance Partner in the day-to-day management of risk and compliance activities across the division.   As a change leader and influencer, you will assist in the further embedment of the operational risk and compliance strategy, the uplift of risk maturity within the Securities and Payments division and ensure risk is considered in key operational decisions and process design. This position would suit someone with experience at an Executive Manager level.

What you will be doing:

  • Gain an in depth understanding of the end-to-end Clearing and Settlement Facilities Businesses

  • Become a trusted advisor to the S&P Business teams and SLT on risk, compliance, risk in change and control initiatives and improvements

  • Work with key senior stakeholders within Securities and Payments and across the ASX to further embed the Operational Risk Management and Compliance Frameworks

  • Support the delivery of risk and compliance reporting including external regulatory and audit requirements

  • Support management in maintaining rich risk data in the ASX GRC system

  • Perform data analysis and share insights for input into business risk reporting

  • Encourage and facilitate effective use of risk management tools

  • Partner with the Enterprise Risk Management, Project Risk Management and Enterprise Compliance teams to deliver an integrated approach to risk and compliance

What you will bring:

  • Deep experience in Risk and Compliance related function preferably within the Financial Services or Energy Industry at an Executive Manager level

  • Deep experience in all elements of operational risk management e.g. risk assessments, control testing, incident management, obligation management, project risk (essential)

  • An understanding of financial regulatory environments

  • Demonstrated the ability to build strong internal relationships including with Senior Leadership Team

  • Experience with a major risk transformation

  • Experience in interaction at Executive management level of businesses

  • Management and Board reporting

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across teams/ with multiple stakeholders to deliver a common goal

  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continual learning

  • Critical thinking with an analytical approach

  • Demonstrate business acumen

  • Communication skills – excellent oral, written and presentation

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of different financial products

  • Understanding of project methodologies

  • Experience in influencing risk culture

  • Knowledge of BCP/disaster recovery frameworks

  • Strong Operations process related knowledge
