Job Description

The Risk Lead will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on the management of risk related arising from the provision of medicinal products and medical services. The Risk Lead will work with the GM Compliance to establish the risk management strategy and risk frameworks for the Montu Group. This role will play a crucial role in building a sustainable compliance environment across the Montu group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Strategy & Frameworks: Support the GM Compliance in shaping the risk management strategy, integrating risk processes into strategic planning, and addressing financial and non-financial risks. Design and implement robust frameworks that meet regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, recommend solutions, and implement tools to centralise and streamline risk management across the organisation.
  • Advisory & Insights: Provide actionable insights to senior management on risk trends, emerging threats, and mitigation strategies to support decision-making.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Prepare detailed risk reports for senior leadership and regulators, while developing dashboards to monitor and measure risk effectively.
  • Training & Culture: Lead risk training initiatives, enhance employee awareness, and foster a positive risk culture throughout the organisation.
  • Performance Objectives: Achieve individual and departmental OKRs and KPIs aligned with organisational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business, or related field (Master’s or certifications like CRMP, FRM preferred).
  • 10+ years of risk management experience in regulated industries, ideally pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or insurance.
  • Proficiency with risk management tools and software is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels, including senior management.
  • Expertise in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to compliance.
