Job Description

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Roster Officer to support effective workforce scheduling across our retail network. You will monitor roster coverage and compliance, maintain accurate employee and organisational data, prepare workforce reports, and provide responsive support to store and regional leaders.

This is a hands-on operational role for someone who enjoys resolving issues, working with data and turning workforce information into clear actions that help stores run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review rosters for unpublished or unallocated shifts, leadership coverage, trading-hour coverage, leave gaps and roster completion.
  • Identify roster risks and discrepancies, follow up required corrections and escalate urgent workforce issues.
  • Prepare and distribute roster, attendance, overtime, leave, staffing and schedule-compliance reports.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including accurate workforce-system profiles, schedules, access and employment details.
  • Respond to roster, leave, timesheet, access and system enquiries from stores and regional leaders.
  • Investigate system and data exceptions and reconcile information across Deputy, D3, Power BI and related records.
  • Maintain employee, store, leadership, location, payroll and organisational mappings to support reliable reporting.
  • Provide accurate roster and attendance information for payroll, commissions, incentives and periodic compliance checks.
  • Identify recurring issues and improve workforce processes, reporting and automation using Excel, Power Query, Power Automate and analytics tools.

Qualifications

Strong organisation and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.

Confidence interpreting roster, attendance and workforce data and identifying exceptions.

Clear communication and the ability to work constructively with stores, regional leaders and support teams.

A practical, service-focused approach to resolving operational and system enquiries.

Comfort using workforce-management systems and Microsoft Excel; exposure to Deputy, Power BI, Power Query or Power Automate would be valuable.

A continuous-improvement mindset and sound judgement when prioritising or escalating issues.
