Job Description
Currently, this position is located in our project office in Sydney CBD, with occasional site visits. Once the project is fully operational, it will transition to a 14/7 roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region.
ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.
The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our team is currently seeking several dedicated Safety Advisors to share their expertise in two keys areas: Transmission Lines and Substation (Energy Hub) Construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in monitoring (ongoing) as subcontractors commence (upward reporting to Site Safety Manager).
Communicate HSE requirements to subcontractors onsite.
Report any key issues to Site Safety Manager.
Assist in identification of key areas and develop HSE training needs analysis (safety and L&D supporters).
Assist in incident investigations and report to appropriate personnel.
Assist in site communication.
Prepare project or workplace HSE inductions and prepare, conduct and/or coordinate HSE training programs and toolbox talks.
Regularly review project HSE systems and plans against activity requirements.
Track progress against role & responsibility profiles and report on activities to Site Safety Manager.
Enter and extract data from incident management system.
Ability to positively identify all potential and imminent hazards on a site and be able to act immediately to correct them.
Actively participate in and drive a culture of collaboration, discipline, innovation, adaptability to change and care.
Ensure safety and sustainability are always front of mind.
Lead by example by promoting a positive work health and safety culture.

Required Skills and Competencies
Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
Cert IV in Environmental Management.
Bachelor’s degree in safety, Quality, Environment, Project Management, or other associated disciplines.
Safety Lead Auditor Qualification.
HSE Practitioner (4 years) in Transmission Lines / Construction and/or heavy industry and high-risk workplaces, Engineering, or other associated functional areas.
Transmission Lines / Construction / Mining / Oil & Gas Industry over 2 years.
Project Management practices 1 to 3 years.
