The Project & Opportunity:
Acciona has been awarded the Design & Construct contract for the Singleton Bypass. This major project will see construction of 8km of single lane highway with approximately 2.5 km of bridge structures and upgrades to local intersections. This diverse and challenging project has a 2 year construction program ensuring longevity in your role and presenting opportunities to grow within the business.
For this project, we are looking for a Safety Coordinator who will be responsible for all activities related with the safety and health of the company's workers.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.

  • Identify workplace hazards and assess risks. Implement measures to reduce and prevent risks.

  • Investigate accidents and safety incidents.

  • Recommend corrective actions for prevention.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

  • Maintain records, reports, and safety documentation.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience in safety and compliance

  • Experience in implementing Safety training programs

  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar

  • Provide First Aid (Level 2), ensuring this certificate is current at all times.
