As the Safety, Quality and Compliance Adviser, you will provide specialist advice and lead the implementation of safety, compliance and assurance programs for Sydney Line Maintenance Operations. Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with senior leaders and Maintenance Airworthiness Safety Coordinators (MASC), you will mentor and coach operational leaders, offering expert regulatory guidance across aircraft, engines, components and maintenance procedures. This role plays a key part in ensuring that we continue to deliver a proactive safety culture across the Qantas Group.
You’ll have –
- Experience and sound knowledge of the aircraft maintenance environment (highly regarded)
- Relevant aviation management or safety qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or Lead Auditor (highly regarded)
- Strong knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation
- Well‑developed investigative, analytical, planning and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
- Proven ability to analyse complex issues and apply innovative, practical solutions
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑engagement skills across all levels of the organisation
- A collaborative and responsive style, with the ability to take ownership, accountability and empower others
