Job Description:

Weatherzone is Australia’s largest private weather service, reaching 2 million users every single day – more people than watch most TV shows in Australia.

A rare opportunity has presented for an outstanding sales manager to the team, to grow and maintain business across Tier 1 media agencies and clients – delivering engaging, effective and creative advertising campaigns.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating revenue from top-tier agencies and brands across Australia. What you will be responsible for:

  • Executing the sales strategy, as set out by the Commercial Director
  • Sales Territory planning, maintain pipeline growth
    • Build and execute understanding of buyer centric sales processes
    • Execute buyer centric sales planning into all territory planning
  • Driving revenue growth across app and web, selling into top agencies and clients
  • Booking high impact and performance campaigns - we service both!
  • Liaising with the operations team to build and execute the best digital campaigns possible. 
  • Refining sales decks, and collating sales reports 
  • Representing Weatherzone within the media landscape and at key events
  • Working with senior leadership team to drive media sales strategy and identify business growth opportunities across Weatherzone’s consumer advertising businesses. 

What you will bring to the role:

  • 2-5 years selling direct and/or programmatic campaigns to media agencies in Australia
  • Excellent territory planning skills – be the CEO of your own patch
  • Existing trading relationships within top-tier Australian media agencies 
  • Track record in hitting, and exceeding sales targets 
  • Detailed understanding of the digital advertising landscape. 
  • Passion for and fascination with digital advertising trends and technology. 
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Autonomous self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit. 
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal 
  • Sound time management, prioritisation and organisation skills

Compensation:

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between AUD 92,250 and AUD 123,000 annually. DTN is a pay-for-performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity, and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market-competitive variable pay and benefits.
