Job Summary

We’re looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join an established sales team.

You’ll be responsible for prospecting potential customers, conducting high-quality outbound calls, qualifying prospects, and generating sales opportunities. This remote sales role is ideal for someone who is confident on the phone, comfortable with high-volume prospecting, and motivated by clear performance targets.

You’ll work during Australian business hours and use Salesforce to manage prospecting activity, leads, and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct approximately 80 outbound calls per day to prospective customers.
  • Generate a target of approximately 10 qualified outbound opportunities per month.
  • Research and identify relevant prospects within assigned target markets and accounts.
  • Engage decision-makers through confident, consultative outbound conversations.
  • Qualify prospects based on defined criteria and uncover potential business needs.
  • Schedule qualified meetings and create opportunities for the wider sales team.
  • Accurately record calls, prospect information, activities, and outcomes in Salesforce.
  • Follow established outbound sales processes, scripts, and methodologies while adapting conversations to individual prospects.
  • Consistently manage and prioritize your pipeline and follow-up activities.
  • Meet or exceed individual activity and opportunity-generation KPIs.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and incorporate coaching and feedback to continuously improve performance.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in outbound sales, appointment setting, lead generation, telemarketing, or an SDR/BDR role.
  • Strong phone-based prospecting skills and confidence conducting a high volume of outbound calls.
  • Comfortable working toward activity and opportunity-based KPIs.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and communicate professionally with business decision-makers.
  • Experience using a CRM; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Resilient, coachable, and comfortable handling objections and rejection.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Availability to work consistently during Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT).
