What we need

We require a strategic SaaS sales director with deep experience in the Australian Federal and State Government sectors? We're looking for someone to drive growth, build trusted relationships, and lead complex enterprise deals that help government agencies deliver better digital services.

We're searching for someone who's passionate about what they do. Someone with a curious and investigative mindset who understands how to solve problems through deep discovery and smart analysis.

We’re looking for someone who’s organised, who can work to a plan, who gets ahead of the curve, and who not only has an eye for detail but knows that the details matter.

We require someone who can roll their sleeves up and who brings people together. Someone who leans in, finds the reason to step up and not to step away.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and execute the go-to-market strategy for Federal and State Government across Australia.
  • Build and manage a high-value pipeline, from prospecting through to close.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive growth, retention, and customer loyalty
  • Navigate complex procurement processes including RFTs, panels, and deal negotiations
  • Develop strong relationships with senior public sector stakeholders and leading consulting firms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, legal, services, customer success) to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and strategic insights to inform executive leadership.
  • Represent the company at government forums, industry events, and innovation summits.

What You Bring

  • 5–10 years’ experience in enterprise SaaS sales, with a strong focus on Australian Government (Federal and/or State).
  • Proven success in closing large, complex deals within public sector environments.
  • Deep understanding of government procurement frameworks and digital transformation priorities.
  • Strong network across Canberra and major state capitals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and a passion for public sector impact.
  • Knowledge and application in using value-based selling methodologies; Challenger, MEDDIC, Command the Message etc
  • Exceptional customer relationships and communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility and trust with senior executives.
  • Collaborative team-player mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Evidence of being a self-motivated individual who has consistently met or exceeded sales targets and performance metrics.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with CRM, CX, data analytics, or cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Commonwealth Government contracts and ICT procurement panels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Technology, or related field.
