Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll interface between the customers and our internal sales structure. On one hand providing the technical support / advice which the customers required while on the other hand, convert these to business opportunities for internal sales to quote on existing / new products to grow the overall sales. Your focus will be on the mining and wind sectors. You will need to service the existing customers while always remain on the lookout for new customers. You are being supported by a company which have had decade of experience in manufacturing quality products This role sits within Australia Operation of the Performance Carbon Division of Morgan Advanced Materials, working closely with key stakeholders across Sales, Manufacturing and Management teams.

  • Work model: Hybrid or Remote

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Driving growth for the sales of carbon brushes and related products in Mining and Wind Sectors and delivering comprehensive technical support to the customers (online meetings and/or site visits) when required.
  • Conducting trials with customers for the Morgan products to demonstrate the benefit of changing to using Morgan products
  • Championing continuous improvement by analysing customer needs, benchmarking against competitor offerings, and conducting detailed lost‑proposal reviews to identify root causes and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Technical and commercial evaluations, and contributing to key financial KPIs—including revenue, EBITA, and trial success rate—while consistently upholding Morgan’s mission statement, safety leadership, and code of conduct.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 Years experience in Sales, Business Development for technical products with market and segment awareness
  • Technical knowledge of motor & generators will be beneficial 
  • Preferably with Engineering degree (or recognized equivalent)
  • Previous experience with mining or wind sectors will be highly regarded
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail, complemented by advanced computer literacy in the MS Office suite and MS Outlook.
  • Proactive, highly organized, and action-oriented professional with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively while demonstrating the flexibility to multi-task, solve complex problems, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment of changing priorities.
