Scope:
Business Development at RecordPoint is the engine that drives our growth, and our Sales Executives are at the heart of that engine. This highly visible role directly influences RecordPoint’s success by engaging new customers, understanding their challenges, and showing how our platform helps them meet the strict demands of data governance and compliance.
This particular role is dedicated to the Federal Government sector, working with departments and agencies that handle sensitive information and complex regulatory environments.
As a Sales Executive, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to potential federal clients, helping them modernise how they manage and protect their information. You’ll combine consultative selling, government market expertise, and a deep understanding of RecordPoint’s platform to identify opportunities and drive meaningful conversations.
What you'll do:
- Managing inbound federal opportunities and executing targeted outbound prospecting across agencies, departments, and system integrators.
- Researching accounts, identifying key decision-makers, and developing tailored engagement strategies.
- Partnering with Solution Executives to analyze customer needs, build compelling value propositions, and create qualified opportunities.
- Collaborating with Marketing on account-based campaigns and events relevant to the federal sector.
- Supporting the broader sales team with presentation materials, playbooks, and sales-enablement initiatives.
- Using Salesforce to manage leads, track activity, and build early-stage pipeline reports with both qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Experimenting with new ways to reach and engage federal stakeholders within the constraints of public sector procurement processes.
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of experience in a SaaS sales role, ideally selling into or working with Federal Government agencies.
- Proven success engaging executive and senior-level decision-makers within government or highly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Natural curiosity and strong discovery skills—able to uncover challenges and position solutions clearly.
- Confidence in engaging stakeholders across multiple levels and departments, even without having every detail upfront.
- Professional written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable using Salesforce and other digital tools to manage outreach, data, and reporting.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a drive to exceed goals and improve every day.
- A collaborative spirit—comfortable working across teams while maintaining accountability for your results.
