About the Division: Fire Protection Products – Water and Mechanical Systems

Fire safety is a fundamental mandate for every enterprise, facility, campus, and municipality. Johnson Controls is the global leader in the fire protection industry, offering a leading range of sprinklers, valves, devices and solutions for Fire Sprinkler Systems.

The role

As a Sales Manager, you will:

  • Listen, understand and convey customer requirements to solutions and business opportunities

  • Supports distributors and fire contractors by identifying their needs, offering standard and specific solutions/ equipment, and services. This is to retain customers and maximize opportunities with them.

  • Identify potential new distributors and fire contractors in market segments where gaps have been identified

  • Understand and interpret detailed technical specifications

  • Exploration of competitor product and price profiling to determine price positioning of our own products

  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders like Territory Sales Manager, Business Development, Product Management, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Technical Services and Quality Management to ensure proposals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, adhering to Tyco’s product standards, quality standards and specifications

  • Support the distribution network in marketing activities to promote awareness

  • Participate in analysis of key market segments; understand market structure with key end-users, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contractors and specifiers

  • Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements of using specific products/ solutions

  • Negotiating contracts, terms and conditions

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in the fire protection industry (preferred but not essential)

  • Proven technical sales experience (essential)

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and strong sales acumen

  • Excellent relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset

  • Ability to handle pressure and execute multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Computer proficiency with strong data entry and reporting skills
