About the Role

Step into a pivotal leadership role with a global leader in material handling and take ownership of driving growth in a changing market. Crown Equipment is seeking a driven and hands-on Sales Manager to lead our Sydney team and expand our customer base beyond an established but evolving market.

This is not a “steady state” leadership role, it’s an opportunity for a commercially minded leader who thrives on winning new business, developing people, and creating momentum in competitive environments.

You’ll lead a team of four Account Managers with varying levels of experience, helping them lift capability, increase activity, and capture new opportunities across equipment sales, leasing, and rentals.

Requirements

What you’ll do

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Account Managers to increase capability and performance
  • Drive new business growth by expanding beyond existing accounts into untapped markets
  • Partner with your team in the field, supporting key customer opportunities and major deals
  • Build strong customer relationships while positioning Crown as a premium solution in a competitive landscape
  • Implement practical sales strategies to increase pipeline, conversion and market share
  • Monitor performance, manage forecasts and deliver on sales and profitability targets
  • Contribute to the broader State leadership team and strategic direction

What we’re looking for

  • A hands-on sales leader or senior B2B salesperson ready to step into leadership
  • Proven ability to win new business (hunter mindset) in competitive or price-sensitive markets
  • Experience in capital equipment, industrial, construction, transport, or similar sectors (preferred)
  • Strong coaching ability — able to lift performance across a mixed-experience team
  • Resilient, commercially sharp, and motivated by achieving and exceeding targets
  • Comfortable with a performance-based reward structure tied to results

Benefits

Why This Role?

  • Opportunity to step up into leadership or take ownership of a team ready for growth
  • High level of autonomy to shape strategy and influence results
  • Join a well-established brand with strong market reputation and support
  • Be part of a business where performance is recognised and rewarded

Additional Benefits

  • Access to discounts and cashback across 400+ retailers
  • Health and wellbeing support platform
  • Corporate private health rates
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Inclusive and supportive working environment
