Your role at Clorox:
This role is primarily responsible for managing customer deductions, trade claims, rebates and vendor invoices – ensuring legitimacy, compliance, and timely settlement. The position will work closely with Finance and Sales teams to validate claims, reconcile discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement in claims management processes, including automation projects where possible.Additionally, the role supports the Sales Team by reviewing the accuracy of promotional plans within iTPM (Clorox’s trade promotions management platform). When inconsistencies are identified, this person coordinates with Sales to revise and update the plans as required, strengthening trade spend controls and enabling effective reconciliation of claims and invoices.
In this role, you will:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. CLAIMS VALIDATION & PROCESSING
- Review and validate claims & invoices against deal agreements & promotional plans that the Sales Team submitted and approved in iTPM
- Process valid customer deductions, trade claims, rebate and vendor invoices accurately and on time, maintaining records & documentation for audit readiness
- Collaborate with Sales and Finance Teams to resolve any issues and ensure timely settlement of claims
2. PROCESS IMPROVEMENT and AUTOMATION in CLAIMS MANAGEMENT
- Collaborate with Sales and Finance teams in identifying opportunities to streamline processes in claims management whilst maintaining robust controls and compliance
- Develop and implement automation solutions using tools such as PowerQuery or PowerBI to reduce manual intervention, enhance data accuracy and improve efficiency in processing claims
- Champion best practices and actively contribute to projects that drive operational excellence and strengthen trade spend governance
3. REPORTING AND COMPLIANCE
- Serve as the primary liaison between Finance and Sales for all
claims-related queries, upholding strict adherence to internal controls and Clorox policies - Proactively communicate with stakeholders on claim status, progress and identified issues, fostering transparency and timely resolution
- Enforce strong controls on trade spend by prompting the Sales Team to close promo accruals in iTPM once all related claims are fully settled
4. DATA ACCURACY AND SYSTEM RECONCILIATION
- Facilitate efficient processing of claims by reviewing promotional details in iTPM and ensuring consistency with the NAM’s Commercial Plan and Customer platforms
- Identify discrepancies and notify the Sales Team to review, promptly correct errors and revise the plans as required
- Keep trade spend accurate by updating promo quantities in iTPM based on actual sell-through data from 3rd party providers (eg Circana)
What we look for:
YEARS AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years relevant work experience in FMCG, Retail or similar industries
- Background in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or Claims Admin
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Advanced Excel – Strong proficiency in formulas, pivot tables and reporting
- Microsoft Office Suite - Intermediate skills in Outlook, Word and related applications
- Data Tools – Familiarity with coding in PowerQuery and PowerBI (preferred)
- Business Systems – Exposure to Netsuite, iTPM, Concur, Promax, Circana/Aztec/IRI or similar softwares (preferred)
