Your role at Clorox:

The Sales Planning Executive (SPE) is a key member of the Retail Team, supporting the National Account Managers in executing commercial plans across major retail customers. Working closely with the NAMs, this position involves direct interaction with external buying teams – ensuring agreed promo plans, new product launches, field executions and shopper activations are planned on time, communicated clearly & implemented seamlessly.
Additionally, this role combines analytical rigour, strategic thinking and commercial acumen to support Net Revenue Growth initiatives and projects that drive continuous improvement. Partnering with the Revenue Growth Manager (RGM), the SPE will develop analytical tools & system-based solutions that empower the Retail Team to make data-driven, insight-led decisions and strategic plans that deliver profitable growth.

In this role, you will:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. EXECUTE APPROVED COMMERCIAL PLANS

  • Collaborate with retailers’ commercial teams to ensure that promo plans, product launches and shopper activations are implemented exactly as agreed between NAMs and buyers
  • Coordinate internally with cross-functional teams to facilitate timely planning and seamless execution of range reviews, events, shopper activations and field team activities
  • Ensure all internal and customer requirements for any new lines or executions – paperwork, samples, test orders, etc – are fully completed in line with NAM’s approved commercial plan

2. DRIVE ANALYTICAL CAPABILITY AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Work closely with RGM in developing analytical tools that enable data-driven decision-making on pricing, promotional investments, product-channel mix, supporting NRM objectives and profitable growth.
  • Create system-based solutions and automate processes where possible to streamline sales planning, improve accuracy and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions that deliver greater efficiency and stronger commercial outcomes.

3. ASSIST IN TRADE SPEND MANAGEMENT

  • Accurately load and update case deals, coop funds and price adjustments in Clorox’s systems (iTPM, Netsuite) and Retailer platforms (WW PartnerHub, Coles PAFs, Indies submission forms), ensuring they are fully in line with the NAM’s Commercial Plan and customer agreements.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between internal and external systems, including issues related to trade spend claims
  • Prepare and keep a record of SPDAs that the NAMs need to gain internal approval & alignment on Trade Spend and Price Adjustment

4. SUPPORT IN FORECASTING AND DEMAND PLANNING

  • Ensure NAMs’ forecast is accurately reflected in both the demand plan and trade spend plan (iTPM), maintaining alignment between the commercial and supply projections.
  • Review NAMs’ forecast against Circana data and customer demand plans, identifying key variances and recommending corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to address potential supply constraints, support allocation discussions, and coordinate changes to promo plans or event timings where required.
