About the role
Based out of our Haymarket, Sydney CBD office, the Sales Team Leader will be responsible for managing a small team of high performing Sales Consultants. As a high performer yourself the role will be split 80% hands on, on the phone and 20% managing, mentoring and developing the team whilst acting as a right hand to the National Sales Manager.
You'll lead by example, handling your own pipeline of customers while supporting the performance and growth of a small sales team. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to continue refining their sales craft while gaining exposure to leadership responsibilities with a clear development pathway toward a full management role. We’re looking for someone who takes a strategic lens to their career, thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and is eager to step into more responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound customer enquiries and convert them from interest to subscription
- Manage the full customer pipeline with precision, ensuring every enquiry is contacted, nurtured, and followed up to maximise conversion and reduce lead leakage
- Clearly articulate Splend’s value proposition, unique business model, and how our offering support driver success in the rideshare space
- Be a product expert, able to confidently educate customers on Splend’s full vehicle portfolio, including mainstream models, electric vehicles (EVs), high-capacity people movers, and luxury cars
- Work cross-functionally with depot and operations teams to align with business priorities
- Drive high levels of customer satisfaction with a solutions-first approach
- Act as the right-hand to the National Sales Manager, helping to guide daily sales activity
- Mentor and coach Sales Consultants to improve performance and hit KPIs
- Provide support in onboarding, process improvement, and team planning
- Take ownership of team reporting, pipeline tracking, and forecasting where required
- Help shape the team culture and contribute ideas to broader sales strategy
What you'll bring
- Proven success in a phone-based sales role with high conversion rates
- 2-3 years of B2C sales experience, ideally in rideshare, mobility, automotive, or subscription industries (desirable but not required)
- Demonstrated interest or experience in team support, mentoring, or leadership
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport across diverse audiences
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel for sales reporting and tracking
- CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.) is a bonus
- Strategic thinker with a desire to grow into a long-term leadership career
- Able to work alternate Saturdays (with a day off in lieu)
