The Sales Training Manager reports to the Global Lead, Education and Development and is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating sales training programs that enhance the effectiveness of the sales team. This role ensures that sales representatives are well-versed in Varian Interventional Solutions products, procedural knowledge, sales techniques, compliance regulations, and industry trends. The position requires close collaboration with sales, marketing, regulatory, and clinical teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. This role involves some travel and requires a detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in field sales and sales training, particularly within the Biotech, Medical Devices and Interventional Radiology industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Development & Delivery

  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for new hires and existing sales representatives.
  • Design engaging training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, workshops, and simulations.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions focused on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and reinforcement through field visits, role-playing exercises, and performance evaluations.

Sales & Product Knowledge Enhancement

  • Ensure sales teams have a deep understanding of product features, benefits, and differentiators.
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to update training content as new products are launched.
  • Train sales representatives on competitive positioning and objection-handling strategies.

Compliance & Industry Regulations

  • Educate sales teams on regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical selling practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry guidelines (e.g., FDA, HIPAA, AdvaMed).
  • Work closely with legal and regulatory teams to ensure training materials align with compliance standards.

Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Assess training effectiveness through quizzes, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Gather feedback from sales teams and leadership to continuously improve training programs.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales training impact.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with sales leadership to identify skill gaps and training needs.
  • Work with marketing and clinical teams to ensure sales reps can effectively communicate product value to healthcare professionals.
  • Support sales meetings, conferences, and product launches with targeted training initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in medical device sales, sales training, or a related field.
    • Experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training program development, and LMS Management
    • Proven track record of successfully training and developing sales professionals.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
    • Ability to translate complex medical and technical information into easy-to-understand concepts.
    • Proficiency in e-learning tools, CRM systems, and sales enablement platforms.
    • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to travel as needed for training sessions and field coaching.

The base pay range for this position is

Min $104,000 - Max $156,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
