Job DescriptionAt NCS, we don’t just implement software; we architect the digital backbone of Australia’s leading enterprises. As a Salesforce Technical Consultant, you will join our Sydney-based practice in a high-impact, client-facing role that sits at the intersection of innovative development and strategic platform governance. This is a unique "hybrid" position—roughly 60% custom development and 40% high-level administration—designed for a professional who enjoys the variety of building complex LWC components one day and optimizing Org security or data strategy the next.
You will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, helping them navigate the transition to Agentic AI and Data Cloud architectures. Your day-to-day will involve leading technical design sessions, translating business requirements into scalable code, and ensuring the platform remains a secure, high-performance environment. From orchestrating REST/SOAP integrations to managing robust security via Salesforce Shield, you will be responsible for the end-to-end health and evolution of the environments you touch. At NCS, you’ll be part of a collaborative culture that values "unity over silos," providing you with a clear roadmap for career growth and the opportunity to work on some of the most significant digital transformation projects in the ANZ region.
QualificationsWe are seeking a mid-to-senior level technologist who thrives on variety and possesses the "consultant’s mindset"—the ability to solve a technical bug while simultaneously explaining its business impact to a stakeholder.
Technical Expertise:
The Developer: Hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). You are a Flow Builder champion and have a track record of building scalable, maintainable solutions.
The Guardian: Strong proficiency in Salesforce Administration, including user governance, permission sets, and data management. Experience with Salesforce Shield, Security Centre, or Privacy Centre is highly regarded.
The Integrator: Experience connecting Salesforce with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
Certifications: You must hold Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I (PDII or Advanced Admin is a major plus).
Preferred Sydney Market Skills:
Familiarity with Agentforce or Data Cloud (the 2026 "must-haves").
Experience with Salesforce DX and version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
A background in Financial Services, Government, or Retail sectors is highly advantageous.
Soft Skills & Values:
Stakeholder Management: You can lead a design review and manage expectations in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Outcome-Driven: You focus on "outcomes over outputs," ensuring that every line of code adds genuine value to the client’s business goals.
Collaborative: You enjoy mentoring junior talent and contributing to the wider NCS knowledge base.
