We are seeking an experienced Same Day Coordinator to join our Banksmeadow depot for an immediate start.
This role is responsible for leading and supporting the Same Day team, including drivers, to manage all aspects of Same Day jobs — from quotes and bookings to end-to-end operational processes and customer updates. A strong focus on service excellence is essential, ensuring customers consistently receive a positive experience. The position also plays a key role in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the Same Day Operations Manager, and helping to develop a high-performing team that drives business growth.
What you'll do
Lead and support the Same Day team to ensure all quotes, bookings, operational processes, and customer updates are handled to a consistently high standard.
Engage with customers and colleagues in a positive, professional manner at all times.
Respond promptly to calls, enquiries, and emails to enhance the customer experience.
Work closely with Same Day Coordinators, allocators, and drivers to meet delivery expectations and drive service excellence.
Proactively notify customers of any issues or delays as early as possible.
Actively participate in and lead team meetings and training sessions.
Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence in all aspects of the Same Day service.
Ensure all policies, procedures, and guides are followed.
Contribute to the development of team members, procedures, and service guides.
Identify, investigate, and resolve operational or service issues related to the Same Day offering.
Use systems and resources to capture and share all required information.
Raise performance concerns with the Same Day team where needed.
Support other departments with specialised Same Day service knowledge.
Liaise with other TGE departments and managers to provide the best solutions for Same Day customers.
Assist with other duties as required.
What you'll bring
Proven experience in coordinating transport or logistics operations, ideally in a same-day or express service environment.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle issues professionally and proactively.
Excellent organisational skills with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in leading or coaching team members.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Sound knowledge of safety, compliance, and operational best practices in logistics.
