BEUMER Group Australia is seeking a SAP Business One Finance Project Manager to lead the local rollout of SAP Business One as part of a broader global SAP transformation program. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, offering the opportunity to play a key role in a critical finance systems implementation.
This role is essential in ensuring finance readiness, operational continuity, and a successful transition to SAP B1 at the local level.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the SAP B1 Finance Project Manager (12-month FTC), you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the local implementation of the SAP B1 finance platform. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will act as the single point of accountability for local delivery, ensuring people, data, and processes are ready for go-live and embedded effectively into business-as-usual operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and managing the local SAP Business One project structure, including key users and subject matter experts
- Planning and managing the local SAP B1 implementation plan in alignment with global timelines
- Coordinating finance business readiness activities, including:
- Master data cleansing and validation
- System, integration, and user acceptance testing (SIT, UAT, regression)
- Training preparation and user enablement
- Data migration, conversion, and reconciliation
- Acting as the primary local point of contact for all SAP-related finance communications
- Managing stakeholders across local finance teams, global SAP program leads, and external system integrators
- Tracking milestones, risks, issues, and change requests, and escalating where required
- Supporting cutover planning, go-live execution, and hypercare activities
- Ensuring accurate documentation and a smooth handover to BAU support teams post-stabilisation
Success in this position involves strong local engagement, high-quality data and testing outcomes, minimal disruption during go-live, and a seamless transition to ongoing support.
QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a delivery-focused project professional who thrives in transformation environments and brings strong finance systems expertise.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems
- 6-10+ years' experience in finance systems or ERP project delivery
- Proven experience delivering at least one SAP Business One or SAP Finance implementation
- Demonstrated experience acting as a local or business-side Project Manager
- Strong experience working closely with Finance Directors and senior finance stakeholders
- Experience with global template or multi-entity SAP deployments is highly regarded
- Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent) desirable
- SAP Business One Finance or FI/CO exposure (certification advantageous)
- CPA or CA qualification beneficial but not essential
