As a Senior Accessibility Specialist within the Digital Accessibility team, you will ensure our digital products and services are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accessibility concerns and advocate for inclusive design.
Job responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing on digital products using assistive technologies and tools to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and 2.2.
- Perform manual and automated accessibility testing using various tools and assistive technologies.
- Review and evaluate claims made in Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPAT) for consistency and accuracy.
- Identify accessibility barriers and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for accessibility testing.
- Document accessibility issues and findings with clear and actionable recommendations for remediation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and product managers to address accessibility concerns.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of relevant accessibility testing knowledge with broad knowledge of accessibility barriers and tools for overcoming them.
- Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2
- Ability to discern accessibility issues from wireframes and code.
- Detailed accessibility knowledge in a broad range of technologies, including various platforms (Windows, MacOS, Android, iOS), video and digital media, PDF and document standards.
- Hands-on knowledge of assistive technology (e.g., screen readers, magnifiers, alternative input).
- Basic knowledge of VPAT/ACR documents and experience working in JIRA tickets.
- Technical knowledge including Web Accessibility Initiative - Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA), HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and qTest or other testing applications.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of international laws is a plus.
